Starting today AppleGazette is providing full coverage of the Macworld 2009 Expo. I’ve decided to try something a little different this time that I hope you’ll enjoy. I’ve built a dedicated Macworld 2009 page which you can access here that will be constantly updated throughout the show.
The first thing you’ll notice is a Flickr photostream that I will be updating all day from the time I leave my house to the airport, the hotel, the show and San Francisco itself – all which can be easily updated by emailing photos to Flickr from my iPhone.
The second thing you’ll see are my Macworld 2009 videos which will be updated several times a day with video of the trip and interviews from the floor of the show. I’m using a Flip Ultra to record the video and will be quickly uploading these short video clips to the playlist featured on our Macworld 2009 page every chance I get.
Below that you’ll find a Macworld 2009 news feed which will have all the news posts from Apple Gazette located on that page to keep you up to date on what’s happening — with press releases and major announcements posted whenever possible.
Below that you’ll find my twitter stream which will also be updated all throughout the day to keep you up to date on what’s going on around the events – and where I’ll be if you’d like to drop by and say hello. I didn’t end up having the time to put an Apple Gazette meet-up together this year – but I promise we’ll do it next year. For now, though, I’m sure that most of you that are going will be at some of the same places I’m at this year – and I’d love to talk to you – so don’t be shy.
Updates will start as soon as I get to a wi-fi spot at the first airport, and will continue anytime I can until I get into SFO. I hope you enjoy our coverage of Macworld this year – I think it’s going to be a lot of fun. I hope this is going to be an interesting way to view the Macworld coverage that’s a little different that what you’ll get on other sites. Your feedback is always welcome – either in the comments below, or by emailing me at michael (at) applegazette (dot) com.
