Macworld 2009 is fast approaching. Last year I attended the show, and it was a great event that made some interesting contacts for the blog. This year I’d very much like for Apple Gazette to return to San Francisco for the 2009 event, but to do so, we’re going to need a little help.
Luckily, Amazon has a great promotion that could help us out quite a bit, and it might help you out too. Shopping during the holiday season can get kind of crazy. I know more and more people that are just going online, buying all their gifts, and being done with it. That has a lot of advantages…it’s faster, it’s cheaper, and you can do it at 3:00 am in your underwear (or sans underwear if that’s your thing).
One of the only real drawbacks is that shipping costs can often rob away your savings from what you buy. Plus, if you need last minute gifts, it can get very, very expensive to have them shipped Two-day or over night.
Luckily, Amazon has a solution to that called “Amazon Prime”. Amazon Prime gives you free Two-Day shipping on millions of items in Amazon’s ever growing store. If you just HAVE to have it the next day, you can do so for $3.99 – and it doesn’t matter how big or small the order is. Amazon Prime costs $79 a year – but to help out Apple Gazette…you don’t even have to buy it.
Right now Amazon is offerng a free trial for the service. If you sign up for that free trial through this link it will significantly help us reach our goals for Macworld 2009.
So what are you going to get out of that Macworld coverage?
This year we’re planning more coverage than ever. Multiple videos from the floor of the show, live blogging of the keynote, plus even more video coverage of the after-hours events that take place during the show. Lots of video, lots of interviews with vendors and more photos than you’ll know what to do with.
Plus – if we can swing it – we’ll do an Apple Gazette meet-up at one of the local establishments…and the first round will be on us.
If you already subscribe to Amazon Prime you can still help AG out by making your this link purchases through one of our this link.
Whether you decide to contribute through the trial, or clicking through to any of the links or not, I want to say thank you for being here at Apple Gazette. Doing this day in and day out would not be possible if it wasn’t for you guys, and I genuinely appreciate your support. Just by showing up everyday you help keep the site going.
Thanks for everything!

so basically what you’re saying is that you get paid for doing this blog, but they won’t cover the expenses for macworld? when that’s one of THE chances to produce unique and much sought-after content? that’s just silly. it’d be a worthy investment!
@Phil
No Phil – not at all.
Price a trip from Texas to San Francisco for a week – it’s NOT cheap. Bloggy Network will cover as much as possible, but this Amazon promotion is a great way to help offset those costs.
