Oh, this one’s precious. The BendGate issue has barely died down, and now we’re hearing complaints from some iPhone users that their iPhone 6 and/or iPhone 6 Plus is yanking out their hair and/or beard. OUCH!
This hair yanking issue with the new iPhones was raised in an article in the 9to5Mac community, where the user says:
I’m more concerned and somewhat irritated that my iPhone 6 Plus, keeps yanking out my my hair when I’m making call. Initially I thought it was the hair sticking to the screen protector. But upon closer inspection, it was the seam between the glass and aluminium– hair gets stuck and when you try to free it out, it hurts.
At first I thought it was all satire, but it seems to be true. Naturally, users have taken to Twitter to express their very serious problem – their iPhone 6 yanks hair out. (This includes the iPhone 6 Plus, by the way).
The seam on my iPhone 6 where the aluminum meets the glass is definitely catching my hair and pulling it out. #seamgate

As the tweet says, the seam where the aluminum meets the glass is the culprit. Here is what other users have to say.
Anyone else getting beard hairs pulled by the iPhone 6/Plus? It catches my scruff in the seam and yanks it during calls. #hurts #beardgate

First #bendgate and now #seamgate? Time to cut the sensationalism, this is out of control.

That last tweet says it all – cut the sensationalism. While getting your hair yanked out does hurt, this is just plain ridiculous. And can we stop with the “gate” hashtags already???
Oh, and if it really is a problem for you, shave your beard, or tie your hair. Or you can go sell your iPhone 6.
