Apple issued a press release this morning officially announcing the availability of television programs in the Canadian iTunes store. Programming includes:
â€¢ CBCâ€™s comedy programs â€œLittle Mosque on the Prairieâ€ and â€œThe Rick Mercer Report,â€ reality programming â€œNo Opportunity Wastedâ€ and â€œDragonâ€™s Den;â€ â€¢ CTVâ€™s smash hit comedy â€œCorner Gas,â€ dramas â€œInstant Star,â€ â€œDegrassi: The Next Generationâ€ and â€œRobson Arms;â€ â€¢ Comedy Centralâ€™s â€œDrawn Together,â€ â€œThe Sarah Silverman Programâ€ and Emmy and Peabody Award-winning â€œSouth Park;â€ â€¢ MTV Networks programs â€œAvatar: The Last Airbenderâ€ and â€œThe Hills;â€ and â€¢ NHL Games of the Year, including top NHL games in their entirety for the 2007-2008 season, as well as Stanley Cup Classics, a five-game bundle of great Stanley Cup Final games.
Shows are prices at CAN$1.99 per episode and are expected to be similar in quality to US and UK iTunes programming.
