The Apple Blog just broke the news that Star Wars audio books are now available in iTunes.
There are a total of 67 titles available for download, covering almost every aspect of Star Wars lore, from adaptions of the films to countless stories set in the expanded universe.
Most of the titles are abridged versions of the novels (that still clock in at between 3 and 6 hours each). At first that might seem upsetting, because you feel like you might be missing something…but remember…lots of novels are “padded out” to reach a required page count…you’re not going to be missing much by getting the abridged version of the the stories.
Prices range from $12.95 to $18.95 depending on length, with the unabridged books coming in at $25.95-$31.95.
I highly recommend giving some of these a look. If you like Star Wars, this is a great way to experience the expanded universe and see what some of your favorite characters have been up to.
