Popular image web site, Imgur is now at the fingertips of iOS users. The Imgur iOS app is now downloadable from the App Store, so users of the site have something to welcome the weekend with.

The Imgur iOS app is absolutely free, which is icing on the cake, but that icing may very well be negated by the fact that the app is quite limited in features.

These are the things you can do with the app:

  • Explore the Internet’s images, sort them by popularity and time.
  • Simple sharing to Facebook, Twitter, and more.
  • Quick upvoting, downvoting and favoriting lets your voice be heard.
  • Threading and seamless commenting makes it easy to participate in the conversation.
  • Easy access to your profile and your collection of favorite images.

Care to spot what’s missing?

Yup. You can’t upload images from within the app.

I don’t know if that’s a dealbreaker for you, but if you think about it, the app is free anyway. Additionally, if you’ve got a bit of patience, you’ll get that feature in the future.

According to the developers, they are already working on bringing the “entire range of Imgur features to iOS, with upload, search, and much more.”

That’s not such a bad deal, I think.
