We’ve been hearing various rumors on when Apple will finally unveil the iPhone 5. Speculations have been buzzing all over the net since the start of this year and with the last three months of the year looming. Another spate of supposed “clues†are indicating that the iPhone 5 will finally be announced this October.
One of the supposed hints comes from web site This Is My Next, which got a tip from an insider at Best Buy that there is a schedule to install an “Apple fixture†on October 21, a Friday. The memo for the installation also revealed that the manager for the store will have to be in at 6am to manage the installation of the fixture. This is supposedly highly unusual because the aforementioned time is an hour earlier than the usual time for installing in-store fixtures.
Another hint is from another Best Buy document that was leaked to another web site, BRG. The document indicates that the pre-sales for the iPhone 5, which will also include the Sprint iPhone 5, will begin on the first week of October. The wording could mean that Best Buy will begin accepting preorders on the first week of October or they will actually start pre-sales on that date.
If that’s not enough, another clue comes from 9to5Mac, which reports that Apple has begun giving training to their retail employees about iOS 5 and iCloud. Apple fans and experts agree that this, more than any other clue, may be the strongest hint that the new iPhone is really looming in the horizon.
