Original Apple Logo Boards Up for Auction, Starts at $10,000

Got at least $10,000 lying around? If you’re a hardcore Apple fan, and you do have access to 10 grand, even if that money is for your mortgage payment or something just as mundane, you might want to check out the auction Bonhams is holding on the 4th of June.

Original Apple Logo Boards

Some youngsters today may not know that the original Apple logo had a lot more color to it, but I know that this logo holds a special place in your heart. And these Apple Logo Boards are not just any logo boards. They were the original logo boards to grace Apple HQ back in the day when the brand wasn’t as accessible to the masses as it is today.

From Bonhams’s, the original Apple Logo Boards lot details:

Two original exterior office building signs, approximately 46 x 49 x 1 1/2 inches and 33 1/2 x 36 x 6 inches, each with separate stem piece; the larger sign made of stiff foam with 6 vinyl applied colors; the smaller sign made of fiberglass backed with metal, vinyl applied colors; edgewear to both signs, some colors with slight pealing at transitions, larger sign with one color showing significant craquelure, both with stray marks and outdoor wear.

Provenance: Removed from company headquarters in 1997 and given to a longtime Apple employee.

So, do you have that money or not? Because you know, you can actually make a bid online. Yeah, I actually clicked on the BID button, pretending for a teeny weeny bit that I could do that. Go ahead, it’ll give you a fleeting moment of pleasure.
