Newest iTunes release supports a CDMA iPhone

The iPhone is coming to Verizon January 10th with pre-orders happening a week before. To prepare for the iPhone 4’s debut as a CDMA phone, Apple has released an updated version of iTunes to sync and connect to the phone.

The updated version of iTunes (10.1.2) which appeared yesterday will be needed to activate or use your Verizon iPhone.

Also, Verizon is hyping up the iPhone 4’s release by featuring a countdown to February 3rd when existing customers can pre-order the phone.
