hmmm…might be the longest title for any post in the history of the site. anyway…
If you’re a fan of online comics at all (like I am) then chances are that you’re aware of an online comic strip called ‘Penny Arcade‘. ‘Arcade’ is one of the most successful online comics strips of all time, and recently they’ve been able to expand their brand into new areas.
The latest – is video games. Which makes sense, since their strip is primarily about gaming culture. The game is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, and a demo is available now.
Titled “On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One”, the game has a combined feel of a 1920s pulp action adventure…and a Penny Arcade strip. It’s an odd mix that looks really fun. I am downloading the demo now, and you can to if you’d like by clicking here.
And for disclaimer purposes it looks like they’re advertising the game on the site, so you may see it in a banner ad or two. Honestly, that’s how I found out the demo was available. Expect a review soon.
