Another iPhone 6 Problem: #CrescentGate

Who can forget all the fuss about #Bendgate? After all, social media is the megaphone for every little issue, and expensive iPhones bending easily catches attention.

But Apple’s “troubles” with the iPhone 6 aren’t over. A couple of months after #BendGate comes another “gate”, and this time it’s called #CrescentGate.

While #BendGate was all about the phone bending, #CrescentGate is all about the front camera becoming misaligned, leading to a crescent shape showing. Once the front camera shifts, it doesn’t go back into place.

Some might laugh at this new “gate” issue, it seems that it is very much real. Even the guys at The Mac Observer have experienced this in one of their iPhones.

As usual, people have gone to social media to share their experiences (with the usual noisemakers).

Anyone experience this on the iPhone 6 and/or iPhone 6 Plus?

  1. Yes it is present on my iPhone 6. It doesn’t interfer with pictures though, so it isn’t causing me concern at this stage.

    1. That makes sense; although if Apple does a recall or free repair, then why not take advantage of it?

  2. I’m facing the same issue and was also told that Apple has no solution for this…..even the replaced phones turn the same after a couple of days being after being replaced.
