Who can forget all the fuss about #Bendgate? After all, social media is the megaphone for every little issue, and expensive iPhones bending easily catches attention.
But Apple’s “troubles” with the iPhone 6 aren’t over. A couple of months after #BendGate comes another “gate”, and this time it’s called #CrescentGate.
While #BendGate was all about the phone bending, #CrescentGate is all about the front camera becoming misaligned, leading to a crescent shape showing. Once the front camera shifts, it doesn’t go back into place.
Some might laugh at this new “gate” issue, it seems that it is very much real. Even the guys at The Mac Observer have experienced this in one of their iPhones.
As usual, people have gone to social media to share their experiences (with the usual noisemakers).
Genius Bar seemed genuinely surprised by my shifted camera, so maybe #crescentgate is as wide spread as some people think.

#CrescentGate is real and I’ve been aware of it on my phone for almost a month. Good thing it’s getting attention.

Now #bendgate makes sense: How else do you realign your camera hole ???? #crescentgate

Anyone experience this on the iPhone 6 and/or iPhone 6 Plus?

Yes it is present on my iPhone 6. It doesn’t interfer with pictures though, so it isn’t causing me concern at this stage.
That makes sense; although if Apple does a recall or free repair, then why not take advantage of it?
I don’t think crescentgate is a much widespread issue. But am sure that media is going to enjoy this and will make it a big deal.

I’m facing the same issue and was also told that Apple has no solution for this…..even the replaced phones turn the same after a couple of days being after being replaced.
