Next week, the partnership between Apple and Starbucks begins – and to promote the new partnership, Starbucks is going to be giving away 50 million iTunes songs.

The way the promotion will work is like this – Starbucks plans to offer its customers “Song of the Day” cards that can be redeemed through the end of the year at Apple’s iTunes Store for a specifically chosen song. This will start next Monday, Oct. 2nd, and run through November 7th.

This will be taking place in 10,000 Starbucks across the country. Starbucks will begin it’s rollout of iTunes enabled stores in October, but it will be well into next year before that is complete.

If you’re planning to get expensive coffee anyway, and are looking for some free tunes, you might want to stop by Starbucks next week.

  1. BLEH! Starbucks! Why not Dunkin Donuts?

I wish they’d do the Pepsi bottle cap deal again, where you get the code for a free song on iTunes.
