Cool Wallpapers HD & Retina
This iOS wallpaper app is designed for both the iPhone and iPad, and it’s free. The caveat is that it has ads, which you can get rid of with an in-app purchase of $1.99.
That aside, the app has a high rating, not in the least because it has over 100,000 wallpapers to choose from. It is user friendly, too, allowing you search for images and mark your favorites for easy access.
Wallpapers HD for iOS8 & iPhone 6
Another free wallpaper app, Wallpapers HD is specifically designed for the iPhone 6 but is also compatible with the iPhones 4 and 5. It’s free, and you get 1080p wallpapers. For an in-app purchase of $1.99, you get retina wallpapers.
iTheme
If you want the complete package, then spend $1.99 on iTheme, which has very high ratings. It has 800 themes for iOS 7 and iOS 8 – and all devices. It even has a Theme Editor so you can customize your screen’s look just the way you want it.
App Icons Free
For more than wallpapers and themes, try this app. It also gives you different app icons to match your theme. Optimized for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, but can also be used on the iPad. Additionally, you can create your own designs and even use photos in your library. The app is free.
Icon Skins
Icon Skins has been in the App Store since 2010, and offers new themes and backgrounds every week. This free app requires at least iOS 7. If you’re bored with your screen’s look but don’t know what to choose, simply shake your device and a random skin will be displayed. On a totally boring day, you’ll get to shake all you want.
