When Video Streaming, Unlimited Data Is A Must

Table of Contents

The iPhone is an amazing device capable of doing so much. One of the best features is video recording and being able to stream content wherever you are. However, it’s a very data intensive task.

To compensate for downloading and streaming tens or even hundreds of megabytes, you’ll need a mobile plan that can handle the load. Once you find the right data plan for you, you can use any kind of video streaming App.

Qik makes an amazing iPhone App that allows you to record and stream video and change your video’s brightness, zoom, pause videos, apply special video effects and more. It’s an extremely powerful App that transforms your iPhone in to the video recording device it should have been. Qik’s video recording App is available on iOS 4 for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS.

Ustream also has a video recording and streaming App available for the iPhone 4, 3GS and fourth generation iPod Touch. The App works over 3G and was one of the first to deliver live video streaming on the iPhone. You can record events and gatherings that friends can watch in real time.

last but not least, Justin.TV has an iPhone App that streams videos to users on the site much the same way Ustream and Qik does. However, Justin.TV is targeted towards live video chat which is great for iPhone users interviewing someone out of the office or hosting a panel for an online audience.

While Qik’s iPhone App costs 2.99, Ustream and Justin.TV make their Apps available for free. The best thing is being able to pick and choose from any of these three amazing Apps and services because you have a mobile plan that can handle the data.

Blogging Pro also has a great post on what Apps you should be using on your iPhone with an unlimited data plan.
