MaCNN is reporting that Apple and Cisco have reached an agreement in regards to the “iPhone” name.

From the Article:

Under the agreement, both companies are free to use the “iPhone” trademark on their products throughout the world, according to the release. Both companies acknowledge the trademark ownership rights that have been granted, and each side will dismiss any pending actions regarding the trademark. In addition, Cisco and Apple will explore opportunities for interoperability in the areas of security, and consumer and enterprise communications. Both companies, however, said that other terms of the agreement are confidential.

Of course, this is not the end of the iPhone’s legal woes with another lawsuit over the touchscreen interface on the horizon. Still, this is one battle down…one more to go…
