Apple Returning Money for Bumpers

July 23, 2010 by Kevin Whipps 1 Comment

It’s being reported by multiple sources, but in case you haven’t gotten the memo, Apple is sending out e-mails to people who purchased Bumpers and is refunding their money. This is excellent news for those of you who purchased Bumpers and are happy with the purchase. But what about the others?

I’m still waiting to find out how Apple is going to work out a system of giving out free cases to new or existing customers and work that out with secondary suppliers such as incase and iFrogz. As of right now, there’s no word of it that I’ve heard of, and it’s Friday. In case you have forgotten, Apple said they’d be announcing how this system works this week, so there’s not much time yet.

I haven’t gotten my refund yet. If I have a credit, then I want to spend it on an incase Slider. If I get money back for the Bumper, then that’s where it’s going. After a little bit of time with the Bumper, I’m just not that thrilled with it. For now, it works, but it’s a pain in the ass to remove whenever I want to put it in my dock, which is pretty much twice a day.

Gotten your refund yet? Let us know in the comments.

Update: And of course, I hit “Publish” and it all changes. E-mail from Apple comes in, giving me my refund, and Apple puts up a page on their site about the Bumper refund program. Check it out here.
