30 Days of AppleTV – Day 19

Table of Contents

Last night I had to pause the shows I was watching several times, and I noticed something that bothers me.

When you unpause a video purchased in iTunes, whether it is streaming or on the hard drive, there is a weird kind of laggy delay that happens to the video for a few seconds. The audio plays fine, but the video is messed up. It doesn’t matter who it’s from, I see it on every video purchased from iTunes.

What is weird, is that video that I have encoded myself does not do this. I’m not sure why that is, but it is another little nit-picking thing that you start to notice after you’ve had a device for a while.

Any idea why that happens? Does it happen to you too, or is it just me?
