Ars Technica is adding to the floating iPod rumor, siting that internal Apple sources have informed them of an Apple special event on Sept. 5th. The 5th is a Wed, which is not when Apple normally holds these types of events, but they’re told that is because of the Labor Day holiday. They claim the event will be a “wow” event, featuring major product launches.

And finally Gizmodo reports that Apple Notebook Market Share is up to 17.6%. Which is not very far behind Dell and HP, who share 50% of the market between them.
