Apple announced the iTunes Festival 2014 in July, and we had a sneak preview of some of the performers including Pharrell Williams, Kylie, and Maroon 5.
Today, 21 new acts have been added to the lineup, with a couple of pretty big names – as can only be expected. The iTunes Festival 2014 official web site has been updated to include the new performers: Lenny Kravitz, The Script, Foxes, David Gray, Jenny Lewis, Clean Bandit, Robin Schulz, Charlie Simpson, Luke Sital-Singh, SOHN, Matthew Koma, Elbow, Paolo Nutini, Gregory Porter, Eric Whitacre, Jessie Ware, Rudimenta, Jess Glyne, Ryan Adams, First Aid Kit and MNEK.
While many of those may not ring a bell with a wide audience, Lenny Kravitz pretty much does it for me.
The iTunes Festival 2014 will launch on September 1 at the Roundhouse Theater in London, and while a lot of performers have already been announced, we’re still waiting on the real highlights of the festival, which apparently Apple is happy to wait till the last moment to reveal.
Just like the other iTunes festivals, this year’s festival won’t have tickets for sale. Instead, tickets can be won via contests held locally in certain countries (Australia, Brazil, Canada, Europe, Japan, Mexico, and the US). Keep up to date with news about the iTunes Festival 2014 here.
