Well, hope you’ve already ordered your iPad’s accessories, because if you don’t have them now, you’re gonna have to wait a bit. That’s because the iPad case is slated for mid-April,the keyboard dock is now late April, and the USB adapter has been pushed back to May. Why the delay?
No official word from Apple yet, but my guess is orders. I’m not sure if Apple anticipated the high quantity of orders for these particular accessories, so they might be concerned about supply. I’d also guess that those three are the most popular accessories anyways, because the case is a given, and almost everyone expects to have to use the keyboard dock. The USB adapter though is a bit tricker. The iPad does come with a power supply, but maybe not with the longer power cable. If you have a MacBook it’s the same cable, so I’m not sure why the big rush.
Regardless, if you want one of these products now but have been holding back, you might want to get in line now. I’m positive the demand will surge on April 3rd, and when it does, it’s going to be tough to find one of these available in store.
