A friend of mine (Drew from TVJab) asked me if I knew of any good Macs > PC lists on the web, because he is switching to a Mac.
(That makes TWO Bloggy Network writers I’ve switched THIS MONTH – Where’s my commission check Mr. Jobs?). Instead of Googling one (which I assume he already did), I decided to write my own….
1. Greater Security – While OSX is not perfect, and all OSes have holes of some kind, The Mac OS is significantly safer than any other major OS currently available. With 0 viruses to date, OSX is the world’s most secure operating system. No spyware. No malware. No viruses.
2. Amazing Software – You will be amazed how easy it is to use software from Apple like the iLife and iWork suites, plus there is far more amazing independently developed software like Quicksilver, Visual Hub, Yojimbo, Transmit, Bean, and countless others some free, all inexpensive, that are Mac only experiences. Plus, you’re getting the most amazing piece of software right out of the box…OSX.
3. Bring Windows With You – With an intel based Mac and Parallels you can bring Windows along for the ride if you really want to. You can open most applications and run them at full speed from within OSX no matter if they are Mac or Windows applications, and for the processor heavy applications like the latest games, you can simply boot into Windows XP, Pro, or Vista and play at full speed.
4. “Little Things” – Once you get into your Mac, you’ll probably be taken aback by how much like Windows it is (If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then Apple designers must be the most flattered people in the world). Lots of people assume it’s a completely different experience, and while more advanced Windows users will notice some immediate differences, causal PC users should be at home right away, with only a few things to learn to get the hang of OSX. In OSX it’s the little things like the Dock, Spotlight, Automator, and Expose that really make the OS stand out…plus a GUI that is unmatched by any other OS on the market.
5. Community – Because of the “us vs. them” mentality that seems to come with owning a computer with an Apple logo on it, there is a great sense of community among Apple users. If you have questions, you’ll very easily find the answers online. While some users (as with any fanbase) take it too far, for the most part the Apple User Community is a great asset to the overall Mac experience.

You forgot awesome Apple sites 😉
But ya good points, I would also add that using it generally is much more simple and easy than using any other OS, at the same time as being very advanced. Its really a perfect combo. Everything you need at hand the rest tucked away unlike windows.
Has he checked out https://switchtoamac.com/
Comment #5 is no different to any other operating system/community; you could just as easily replace terms “Mac” and “Apple” in that sentence with “Windows”, “Linux”, or “FreeBSD”, and the comment would be just as true.
