I’m a huge fan of bags and cases. I’m not sure exactly why this is, but I seem to have amassed a collection of various laptop cases over the years, all of which have different purposes. There’s my Swissgear laptop case that I use on short plane trips, or the incase shoulder bag that I have for longer plane trips. I also have a laptop sleeve for my camera bag, and even a bag that I got through a business trip that’s essentially a backpack with a pocket. I had to clean out my closet recently, and I threw away at least 10 bags for outdated products or things I didn’t need anymore. It’s ridiculous.
Of course, with new products come new bags, so here we go with the iPad. The STM jacket iPad is pictured above, and it’s just a clean and simple case with a strap. It holds the iPad in a soft inner liner, then has a second pocket on the front for quick access items such as your iPhone or a charging plug. Better yet, it’s water resistant, so you don’t have to stress if you spill a drink on the case – assuming you clean it up right away, of course. It’s pretty basic, but if that’s what you want, go for it. No word on price yet.
Next up is the micro  extra small shoulder bag, which is selling for $44.95. This one has a heavily padded center section to protect your iPad, but it also comes with a flap up front and lots of storage for goodies. A key connection – one of my favorite bag features – is on the inside, as well as room for all your other goodies. I see this one coming in handy on a plane trip or a weekend stay at a friend’s. It’s a touch pricey, but it looks pretty good and is small enough to look inconspicuous.
