Today’s software spotlight is a BIG one. I know all you college kids will be back in school soon, and a college education has probably left you and your family either broke or heavily in debt. With that in mind, the guys at SoftwareFor.org have provided the first Software for Starving Students collection for 2007…a HUGE collection of Apps that won’t cost you a dime, but are probably worth AT LEAST a few thousand dollars.
Some of them have been featured on the site before, others haven’t yet but will in the in the future. Today you can get ALL of them for free. The list includes:
- Acqlite
- Adium
- Audacity
- Bleezer
- Blender
- BZFlag
- Camino
- Carbon Copy Cloner
- Cashbox
- Celestia

Sounds good. Although, I have what I need from that list already. Even after I’m out of college and earning well, I’m still going to use FOSS. It’s usually more qualitative. And since I won’t be buying any of it, I’ll donate to projects like Adium, Thunderbird, Transmission and Democracy Player. Firefox already gets enough via the Google box. 😛
