ClamCase: Make Your iPad a Cheap MacBook

Table of Contents

When the iPad first came out, many people thought that it would be a lot better if it was a laptop. I’m not really sure why, but it was a hot topic at the time. Turns out that someone else had that same idea, so they went out and made it happen. It’s called the ClamCase, and it was just introduced.

As of right now, it looks like it might just be vaporware, but I imagine some people are hopeful it will become reality. It’s a gloss black case with a hinge that flips all the way around to allow you to use the iPad like a laptop, or fold it in a v-shape and prop it up vertically. It looks like the case can both protect the iPad and provide an integrated keyboard. I assume the keyboard transmits via Bluetooth, but I am neither psychic nor an engineer, so I’m not really sure what they’re doing. Correction: It’s a Bluetooth keyboard. I’m obviously retarded.

Will this ever come out? Hopefully it will before the next iPad comes out, and when it does, we’ll be here to fill you in.
