Review: Mophie “Bevy” for iPod Shuffle

mophie_4.jpg

When I first got the iPod shuffle, I couldn’t really imagine how accessory companies were going to make anything useful or interesting — case wise, at least — for the device.

I’m happy to report that Mophie has managed to do just that with their “Bevy” case/keychain/bottle opener.

I know, I know, that’s a lot of things all at once, and at first, I thought “when the heck am I ever going to use a bottle opener?” but after carrying this around for a while, I’ve found it to be quite useful.

The case is very simple, and very sturdy. (I have to apologize for the photos in this review, but for some reason, I wasn’t able to get very sharp pictures of the case. I think it’s a lighting/inadequate camera issue)

When you snap the iPod Shuffle into place it feels very secure, and very safe. You can ever wrap your earbuds around the keychain making full use of the space in your pocket. This little carrier is especially useful at the gym. You can carry your keys, your iPod, and your ear buds in one pocket, all attached to one thing.

As far as iPod shuffle cases go, I think the Mophie “Bevy” does just about everything you could expect from an iPod Shuffle case, and throws in a bottle opener ta boot!

You can pick a Bevy for only $15 from a variety of retailers or Mophie.com
