iCube releases iRec for iPod

Table of Contents

icube_irec.jpgiCube has released iRec (not to be confused with iRecord) for those of you looking for a one button solution for recording video directly on to your iPod.

iRec will record at 640×480 with a 2.5 Mbs bit rate from any composite, or S-Video source – no computer required. It charges your iPod as well, and when you’re recordings are finished they are automatically cataloged on your iPod – when you sync back up with iTunes they’ll sync as well.

It’s a neat little device, but at $180 – I think you might be better off buying a PVR solution for your Mac instead…if we can get our hands on one, we’ll let you know for sure…
