Yesterday evening, Apple sent out an email letting .Mac subscribers know the details of the new features of their .Mac accounts.

In addition to the new .Mac Web Gallery for iLife ’08 users, and the 10 gig storage upgrades,  .Mac now features the following enhancements:

More storage for trial members. To enhance your .Mac trial experience, your trial account online storage will be increased from 50 MB to 100 MB by August 14, 2007. When you become a full .Mac member, your combined email and file storage will jump to 10 GB.

Improved iWeb site hosting. Using iWeb ’08, you can embed dynamic web widgets like Google Maps, Google AdSense, Web Gallery albums, or HTML snippets in your .Mac site. You’ll also find new themes and one-click theme-switching. And once you become a full .Mac member, if you have your own personal domain, new settings in iWeb ’08 let you assign it to your .Mac site.

Larger email attachments. You can now send and receive larger email attachments—up to 20 MB.

Improved webmail spam filtering. .Mac Mail also helps you better manage unwanted email with enhanced junk mail identification and sorting in webmail. To activate this new feature, just turn it on in your webmail preferences—go to www.mac.com, click Mail, and select Preferences in the upper right.

It’s also important to mention the Back to My Mac feature that Jobs discussed during the WWDC Keynote.  That feature won’t be active until Leopard is released in October, but it’s another example of how .Mac is improving.

You can go to .Mac right now and sign up for a free trial of the service.
