Ya gotta love a good promotion…and this is a good one…
MacZot has promised to sell 13 Apps valued at over $300 for a total of only $13 on Friday the 13th.
The catch?
The software bundle is only going to be available for 13 minutes. Sometime during the 24 period starting at 12:00pm PST.
From the press release:
Urban Myth dictates that Friday the 13th is a very unlucky day. This year, MacZOT.com proves it once and for all. On this Friday, for 24 hours beginning at 12:00 am PST, MacZOT will offer thirteen Mac applications for a total price of $13.00. The catch, “Most people who hear about this will be unlucky (proof of the myth) because the offer will only be good for a total of thirteen minutes of the entire day,” says founder, Brian Ball. The few who are able to purchase the bundle will likely refute the myth, since getting a bundle of Mac software valued at over $300 is certainly not unlucky.

Just as a side note…I will be monitoring this throughout the day when possible, and if I catch it, I’ll let you guys know here on the site, as well as on my Twitter page.
UPDATE: MacZot has updated their site, and (as Phil points out below) a few of the apps have been announced, and the first buying time has been revealed…so check MacZot.com at 13:13 PDT for your first 13 minutes window…there will be 3 others at some point during the evening…
REVEALED APPS: DEVONthink Personal, Disco, AppZapper, RapidWeaver
These apps alone are MORE than worth the purchase price…so check it out…

luckily for me, i live in a PST +8 zone, so i should be able to catch at least one of the time frames. if all of the apps are of the likes of DEVONthisandthat though, i think i’ll pass 😛
I’ll have my credit card at the ready!
update: okay… disco and appzapper have been revealed now. two apps i’ve been using for quite some time without registering them… i’m sold! and can’t wait to see what else is in the bundle 🙂
thanks for notifying us of this michael, i would have never noticed this by myself.
now they revealed iClip 4. if it wasn’t a must-by before, now it is.
i am SO crossing my thumbs for Xtorrent to be in the package… since the open beta just ran out. but i think that’s not very likely.
btw: i want an “edit” button for my posts!
it appears the maczot database server crashed the instant the offer was available. haha.
Yup…that’s gotta be embarassing.
