“Mac Game Arcade” – Like the App Store, for Games, on your Mac

Table of Contents

Macgamestore.com has launched its own version of the App Store specifically for Mac Games.

Their new free application, Mac Games Arcade, looks and feels quite a bit like iTunes, and it’s clear that’s the intention. There are titles from over 100 Mac developers, you can get demos, write reviews, purchase games, and maintain your digital downloads.

Obviously this is just getting started, but it has some potential, and I’d like to see where this goes. Hopefully in the near future we’ll have major game releases in an application like this with direct to download options.

You can get it for free right here.

  1. First I thought, why an app to browse their games. But after I downloaded the store app it turnes out that it is pretty neat and makes fun to browse the games. Loading is a bit slow – but perhaps thats my internet connection here at the moment.
