New MacBook Core 2 Duos on Nov. 13th?

November 7, 2006 by Michael Leave a Comment

macbook-blkwht2.pngDid play.com screw up by accidentially releasing the information that Apple is releasing Macbook Core 2 Duo notebooks on Nov. 13th…or is play.com just enjoying a traffic spike from the “leak”? If you live in the UK you can pre-order a Apple MacBook Core 2 Duo 2GHz 512MB RAM 13.3″ Widescreen Laptop for £1029.99…so, chances are this is legit…or play.com is going to have some pretty upset customers come Nov. 13th.
From Macworld UK:

According to the Play.com webpage, the newly revamped second generation MacBooks will offer a maximum 2GHz processor speed, and will ship with 512MB RAM as standard. Other than an upgraded processor, the machines are otherwise identical to the existing models.

I guess we’ll know soon enough, won’t we?
