Review – Gear 4 StreetParty Size Zero

The StreetParty Size Zero is the latest iPod Accessory offering from Gear 4. This highly portable dock/speaker system sleekly designed, and just might be the perfect traveling companion for your iPod.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the StreetParty Size Zero (which is kind of a mouthful to say over and over again) is how thin it is. It’s very flat, and highly portable. It’s thin enough to fit in the inside pocket of most 3 ring binders (just in case you’re planning on hiding it in a locker or something). It’s battery operated (which is how I had to run it since it did not include a US wall jack adapter), and almost as easy to carry around as an iPod itself.

The sound on the device was good, but not spectacular. It’s what you would expect for a speaker system in this price range. I am by no means an audiophile, so I can’t comment on the nuances of the treble and bass – but I can say this…it sounds perfectly good to me.

It should make a great dock for your desk at work, or for outside gatherings. The mobility, I think, is the StreetParty’s main selling point, and certainly worth noting.

If you’re looking for an iPod dock/speaker system and you either travel frequently, or you have very little free space, then the Gear 4 StreetParty Size Zero is definitely something you’ll want to check out.
