This new site is seen by many as even further confirmation that Apple is focused on promoting the software on the App Store. Steve Jobs said earlier this year that the iPhone was now being looked at as a software platform, and that Apple was convinced that the phone was going to be sold based on the Applications available for it – not just the hardware itself.
