.Mac Update Tomorrow - As Close to Proof as you’re ever going to get

If you’re a .Mac member, you may have noticed that there is a little message right above the System status box on your .mac main page. It reads:
Due to scheduled maintenance, .Mac members might be intermittently unable to access some .Mac services from 10 AM to 12 PM PDT on 08/07/2007. We apologize for any inconvenience.
That happens to be the EXACT same time as the Townhall Meeting tomorrow. Jobs also went on record at the D Conference this year stating that Apple was going to “make up for lost time in the near future” in regards to .Mac.
While this doesn’t give us 100% proof that we’re going to be getting an update to .Mac - I believe it’s as close as we’ll ever get to confirmation from Apple on the subject. It would be an AMAZING coincidence if these times aren’t related.

Hopefully its something that makes the outrageous cost more reasonable. I love the features of syncing my macs together, but I’m not dishing out over 100 a year to do it.
