Netflix starts testing “Watch Instantly” on Mac w/ Silverlight

Table of Contents

We’ve heard for a while that Netflix was going to be bringing their “Watch Instantly” feature to the Mac “soon”. Well, finally, they have begun to test this using Microsoft’s Silverlight browser plugin.

If you’ve thought the Microsoft Silverlight plugin was useless or annoying, the fact that it will finally bring Netflix over to Mac Users is enough for me to forgive it for existing. The initial roll-out of this is very limited, but Netflix hopes to bring it to all users by the end of the year.

Still – there is some sad news for Mac users. If you’re using a PPC – you’re out of luck. This will be Intel only. Sorry guys.
