Who are the most influential people in Mac technical community?

MacTech wants to know who the most influential people in the Mac Tech Community are…

The MacTech 25 is designed to recognize the technical contributions of developers, writers, bloggers, problem-solvers and personalities to the Macintosh technical community. The MacTech 25 is not a popularity contest, nor is it to “pick your favorite CEO.” We’re looking for the most influential in the Mac TECHNICAL market.

The results will be presented in an upcoming issue of MacTech, around this year’s WWDC.

We want the community to determine the 25 most influential Mac technical people for 2007 by voting for the MacTech 25, and the best way to do this is to poll the Mac Technical community, or those “in the know.”

There are rules as well:

1. They must be alive as of March 19, 2007 (when voting began)
2. MacTech internal staff and Xplain Corp. employees are ineligible
3. Apple employees are not eligible for the list, but are eligible for honorable mention list.

Who are my picks?

I would have to go with Kevin Rose, Leo Laporte and Merlin Mann. I know that’s a little Twit and Digg centric, but I have to go with the people I listen to…

…but I haven’t submitted my vote just yet, because I’m probably forgetting some very important people…so I leave it to you, dear readers…who are the most influential people in the Mac tech community right now?
