VM Ware is releasing the final version of Fusion, their virtualization software which allows Intel-based Macs to run Windows, Linux or other PC operating systems today.
Parallels, not to be outdone, has just released a new Beta version of their virtualization software as well.
It’s a tough call on which is the better value. Each has their strong suits. I’ll be posting my thoughts on it in a full review soon (probably next week), but if you don’t want to wait, you can download trials of both applications to determine which, in your mind, is the best.
You can download VM Ware’s Fusion right here.
and Parallels is available here.
I don’t know about you, but I find Coherence in Parallels to feel much more natural than Unity in VMware. I prefer VMware’s server solution, but for my client software on my Mac, Parallels stole my heart from the get-go and VMware hasn’t been able to steal it back.
