The Evolution of the Apple Mouse

handmouse.pngScott over at TUAW posted this link to John Ward’s “The Evolution of the Apple Mouse” yesterday, and it’s a pretty cool article.

If you haven’t seen it yet (it’s been online for a while), it’s an interesting read that shows us almost every mouse Apple has ever produced.

My personal favorite would have to be the original ADB Mouse…I don’t know why, but it looks like the kind of mouse that Kirk and Spock would have used on the Original Enterprise…ya know, assuming they had mice…

  1. I hope Apple is not going to stop working on their mice.
I’ve never liked to work with Apple mice. In my opinion the soap cake design is simply suboptimal and causes cramps whenever I use it for longer than 20 minutes.

  2. Yeah, the “soap cake” design mouse is an odd shape. I’m not sure i like how it looks either though.

It’s interesting to look back and see how things have changed. That first apple mouse especially!
