OSX Quick Tip: Get all the Details on your Bluetooth Devices

June 8, 2007 by Michael Leave a Comment

quicktip.jpgIf you want to get all the details on the Bluetooth Devices connected to your computer, there are a few ways you can go about doing it. First, if you have the little Bluetooth icon in the menu bar you can Option+Click it. You’ll see the menu is slightly different than if you just click on it by itself. You should see something like: Bluetooth (1.7.14.f14): On – that’s telling you what the current version of your Bluetooth software is.

You can directly access the preferences of a connected Device by selecting it in the drop down menu from the Bluetooth icon, and you can find all the details about the Device under the Bluetooth Preferences by clicking on Devices.

And yes, you can access all of this information via the System Profiler as well…but this is much faster.
