Modbook might finally be on the way

The long in development Modbook (well, I say long – it was revealed at Macworld 2007 – but it’s been delayed several times – so it FEELS long) is finally on its way to release. The Modbook should be hitting the streets on or around Jan. 8th, 2007 according to TUAW. The specs for the Modbook have changed since its initial announcement. It now includes Leopard and GPS standard, and it reflects the current Macbook hardware specifications as well.

The Modbook starts at $2279.00, and you can learn more about it right here.

Now, if the rumored new mac notebook is a refresh for the Macbook (as I think it is) the Modbook may be in trouble..who knows…we’ll just have to wait and see.

Funny, they build these tablets from a MacBook that they buy from Apple and then mod. Too bad the MacBook is about to be discontinued in 3 weeks. Maybe if they released the ModBook over a year ago like they said, they would have actually made some money.
