PvP players lose access to that season’s elite appearances and titles too. Once these are gone, they don’t come back. Not in the same form, anyway.
Timing matters here. Patch 12.1 is currently expected around mid-August 2026, with Season 2 likely following about a week after. Blizzard hasn’t confirmed an official date (they rarely do this early), but if you’re still chasing seasonal rewards, it’s probably not smart to leave everything until the last few days.
There’s another reason to wrap things up sooner. Players tend to check out before a season officially ends. Raid teams stop recruiting. Fewer groups push Mythic+ rating. Arena partners start waiting for the reset instead of grinding for one more push. The rewards are technically still available. Finding people willing to actually run the content with you gets a lot harder, though.
