Any chance some talk of Mac OS X 10.6? I know Leopard just arrived but M$ is making news of its latest vaporware. Apple could show feature of two so M$ can make a shoddy copy to get everyone let down by Vista some glimmer of hope.

This is a developer’s conference, not a MacWorld, so I don’t expect displays, AppleTVs, or other non-developer-related announcements. Obviously iPhone SDK is going to take center stage and be the bulk of the keynote. However, during the conference I expect some vague details to come out about Java-on-Mac, (maybe even .NET-on-Mac), MacOS X 10.6, SLI display adapters, virtualization/Windows compatibility, open source updates, and other information of critical interest to the developer community.

Non-iPhone stuff:

Probably I would LIKE to see this more than it would happen but here goes…

1. A revamp and re-marketing of iWork. Apple has been slowly adding to the fledgling suite and with the addition of Bento and a tighter integration between the apps, you have a nice office for Mac without the SLOW MS office. The suite could be open with room for 3rd party plugins.

2. A major announcement about AppleTV. A lot of tweeks to AppleTV recently which I assume has a purpose.

3. A new interface device that would replace the mouse. I think the mouse as an input device is getting old and other technologies are available that might provide Apple another forum for innovation.

I find it pretty sad if the whole keynote would be around the iphone, I’m not really waiting for a whole new imac or something like that but beaing a student, in France an iPhone isn’t really the thing that I’m want from Apple at the moment. Well as long as other Apple fans are happy with it, maybe I’ll buy the iPhone 5.0 one day lol

I think this is very accurate especially the absence of the iTablet. That rumor is just plain making me sick, sick, sick. As if the Macbook Air didn’t have enough of a narrow target audience! At any rate, what about a refresh to some of the more outdated hardware (if there is any)? Mac mini? Not that it matters, since it’s going to be all about the iPhone, I’m sure.

I think it sounds like a pretty weak WWDC for any non-iPhone user. Your predictions sound reasonable, but, in addition to them, I hopeâ€”and I think this would be reasonable tooâ€”Jobs has other surprises in store for the greater percentage of Apple consumers.
