Update: Apple has confirmed that Time Capsule is now shipping.

Reports are coming in from various individuals who have pre-ordered Apple’s new “Time Capsule” that the product is ready to ship, and could begin shipping as early as today. As of the time of this writing there has been no official word yet on if the product will begin shipping this week, but if it is to ship on time, it will have to begin leaving warehouses before Friday.

Of course, Time Capsule is Apple’s latest variation on the Airport Extreme, this time adding an internal 500 gb or 1 Tb for automatic back-up through Leopard’s Time Machine software.

  2. I ordered a 500gb Time Capsule on 1/18/08 and it has shipped today. It was leaving from China this morning. So I will hopefully receive it soon.
