Apple pulls “Airport Extreme” software update

Table of Contents

TUAW reports that Apple briefly released an Airport Extreme Update (2008-03) yesterday – but pulled it after a few minutes. The update no longer shows up in Software Update, and the page it was on is now missing from Apple’s site.

The update was originally recommended for all Intel-based Macs with 10.5.5. It was supposed to “resolve some issues with Airport connections when roaming in large Wi-Fi networks”.

Hopefully there was nothing wrong with the update for those who installed it…but if you did, and you’re having problems – the could be a good reason why.

  1. I installed it and my mac were not able to find the airport device. Had to do a hard restart of the device and that fixed it. Obviously has a bug in it
