Merry Christmas from Apple Gazette!

Yeah, some people shy away from it these days, but I’m saying it! Merry Christmas to each and every one of you! If you don’t celebrate Christmas and are somehow offended by me wishing you well on the 25th of December, then Happy Tuesday!

I recently watched “The History of Christmas” on the History Channel, and I was really surprised to find out that the celebration that we have on Dec. 25th, and the way we celebrate it (with Christmas trees, parties, presents, and all of that) has been going on long before the birth of Jesus Christ. In fact, it was originally (in Rome anyway) a celebration for the birth of one of their gods, and the Catholic Church made the celebration of Christ’s birth be celebrated on the same day.

The history of Christmas is very interesting to me, and if you’d like to take a look at it, you can check some of it out here.

Regardless, I hope each and every one of you has a wonderful day, whether you’re out eating Chinese food, at home eating turkey, or desperately flicking through the RSS reader on your iPhone because you’re stuck in a car on road trip to a family member’s house.
