Right now they are in the process of doing that. Apple has the technology to build it tomorrow, hopefully they'll offer it with 32 or 64 gigs ($599 with a $100 credit after 60 days...). I'm in Canada, I'm proud to say that I use an unlocked iPhone but I never touch wireless internet via Edge because its ridiculously expensive here. I'm in Vancouver, BC and its not THAT hard to find an open access point if you REALLY need one. Do people want it for video? Just plain faster Internet? Actually what I’m more interested in what do people really want a 3G phone for?
