Apple Rumor of the Moment – March 24th Event…or Not.

What do you get when you have a couple of new Apple websites that are trying to increase their backlinks?

New unfounded Apple rumors, of course!!!

World of Apple at least has a little backing it up with the fact that the site has released some Snow Leopard pics that appear to be legit, but even though this is next to nothing to confirm anything related to Apple and a March 24th event – that’s not stopping every site on the web from reporting it like its the gospel truth.

I will be surprised if we see any special events during the time Steve Jobs is away from Apple. I’m not saying he’s the only one that will do them ever…but every time Apple makes a big event out of something that Steve Jobs isn’t at – it will remind people that Steve Jobs isn’t there…and investors seem to be at least slightly bothered by that.

So, for now at least, I’m putting my hat firmly in the “just a rumor” category on this – but if something more solid comes up, that could change.

  1. I think different. An event without Steve Jobs prove to investors that Apple is the “same company” without Steve and can lauch good products at all.

  2. Well, I must agree with Eduardo Marques. Now would be a good time to show that Apple can function without Steve. Not saying that Steve isn’t important, but it would prevent disastrous drops in stock value every time a Steve health rumor emerged.
