Fake Steve now backed by Wired?

Table of Contents

steve4.jpgLooks like it. Recently Apple sent the lawyers after Fake Steve, a hilarous blog that is obviously a parody of Apple frontman Steve Jobs.

In response, Fake Steve called out for a sugar daddy to help him fight off the lawyers and Wired (owned by Conde Nast) swooped in to back the faker.

Honestly, this is great publicity for Wired, and there is no way that Apple has a chance if they try to sue the site. Parody is protected in this country, and the blog is called “FAKE Steve” the argument that this is damaging to Apple because of confusion among consumers is weak…at best.

It will be an interesting story to follow, and if you’ve never visited Fake Steve’s home on the web, feel free to check it out here.
