Merry Christmas to you, app lovers who are always on the lookout for when app prices drop. As it usually is during the holidays, discounts and promos are all over the place, and if you have been patient enough in the past year, you’ll probably save a sizeable chunk of money by buying apps this season.

One place to go: App Santa.

App Santa is a one-stop-shop for apps from indie developers who are offering their wares at discounted prices. And discounted they are – some discounts go up to 80%!

There is a total of 30 apps on sale, but here are three which I find most interesting.

Tweetbot 3

I’ve been a long-time fan of Tweetbot, and I’ve been using the Mac client for a couple of years now. I also bought the iOS app, but shifted to the default Twitter app. From what I’ve heard of Tweetbot 3, though, it might be time to give it a run again. And with its usual price of $4.99 going down to $2.99, it shouldn’t be an issue if it doesn’t work out.

Get Tweetbot 3 for only $2.99.

Day One

A journal/notes/diary app, Day One has received its fair share of accolades, not the least of which is the 2014 Mac Apple Design Award Winner. It was also 2012 Mac App of the Year. Its massive price drop from $4.99 to $0.99 is a good reason for you to give it a go.

Get Day One for $0.99.

Ember

Being able to take screenshots and annotate and share them using your iPhone or iPad is very convenient. Being able to do so with one app is even better. That’s what Ember is all about, and as part of App Santa, its price has dropped from $4.99 to $2.99.

Get Ember for $2.99.

The sale runs till December 26, so you best visit App Santa now.
