Apple expanding to 500 ‘Best Buy’ stores

After speaking with Best Buy executives at CES, The Street is reporting that the Best Buy/Apple partnership is continuing to grow. In Oct. Apple announced that they were expanding to 270 Best Buy stores.

Now, according to the execs at Best Buy, that number is growing to 500. The reason is partially because demand for Apple products has remained strong, even though Americans seem to be tightening their belts financially.

The Apple sections of Best Buy stores feature the Apple logo and almost resemble mini-Apple stores. If the relationship continues to be a good one, you might expect to see these Apple mini-stores in all 900 Best Buys very soon.
