Yeah sure u have an iPhone that u can't update!!!

btw, the MBA is directed for a certain segment of the market, not for anyone.. it added several breakthrough concepts to the portable world (multitouch trackpad - solid state HD - remote disk) that maybe in a couple of years become standard.. u get the MBA, a portfolio case and a usb hub and that's all u need to go.. REALLY GO i mean.. u have a Mac with all ur apps and data that weighs 1.36kg!!!!

the MBA is another brilliant start by Apple..

Excellent article Michael. Personally this type of article is my favorite on apple gazette. I mean when you give your personal insight and opinion about an issue. It sound more innovative rather that iterating news that have been all around. You have a very interesting way of making a point. Congratulations on that skill. No wonder you began as a sales person.

FYI. I live in Egypt and I have an iPhone :-)

Remember how I used to dream of a mac ultra-portable. Well, I HATE the MBA. $1800, same volume as a MB and no optical drive and no ports at all of any kind except an insanely shameful "Single" usb port and another stupid micro-mambo jambo that you have to carry or buy all the adapters in the world to make any use of it. The MBA will be a huge failure. As soon as I make it to the States. I am going to get myself a decent MacBook and I guess it would be black.

Thanks Michael for giving me something interesting to read each and every morning as it is 6:00 am now in Mansoura where I live.

Well, in Argentina we still don't have the iPhone. And don't even get me started on the iTunes Store. But there are people selling Apple TV's here.

Who the hell is going to buy an Apple TV here if there isn't content for purchase?

Although I like the MBA, I don't think I'm ready to spend $1800 for what it has to offer. Maybe I'll wait until the second spin. Under the hood, the MBA is pretty close to what the MacBook was when it was released almost 2 years ago. I though a 2GHz processor, 4G RAM, and 120-160G would have been nice
